City Dream Centre is growing. As we prepare to move into a new location this summer, we are also taking an important step forward in the support we provide to our community.

For many years, we have dreamed of creating a residential program for women who need more than short-term support. That dream is now becoming reality.

Introducing Connections - Women’s Residence With Life Skills

We are excited to begin developing the Connections Program, City Dream Centre’s residential program with life skills education.

The Connections Program is designed to support women as they transition into stability, healing, and long-term independence. This one-year residential program will serve women who are ready for the next step in rebuilding their lives, including women who have completed a recovery program and women leaving traumatic circumstances such as domestic violence or incarceration.

Our heart is to provide a safe, stable and supportive environment where women can heal, grow and move toward lasting independence.

Year-round Initiatives

This program is being built to provide more than housing alone. It is intended to create a strong foundation for lasting change through education, a healthy mind and spirit, job training, and new skills.

A supportive residential environment where women can begin to rebuild with hope and dignity.
Each resident will follow a plan shaped around her unique needs, goals, and circumstances.
Practical guidance in areas that strengthen confidence, wellbeing, and long-term stability.
Support designed to help women successfully transition into independent housing, job security and greater self-sufficiency.

Why This Matters

Many women face a difficult gap between leaving crisis situations and stepping into stable, independent living. Emergency support can be vital, but it is often not enough on its own.

Housing, combined with education, helps bridge that gap. It creates space for healing, growth, and practical preparation in the context of safety, consistency, and support.

This new program reflects City Dream Centre’s ongoing commitment to meeting people where they are and walking with them toward hope, dignity, and lasting change.

A Growing Vision

Our upcoming move to a new location will allow City Dream Centre to expand our programs and begin developing this long-held vision. This is an important next step in our work and in the support we want to offer to women in our community.

The new facility will begin with some renovations, to ensure that the living spaces for these precious women are beautiful and inviting. They need to know that they are worthy and they are valuable. This is an important first step in their journey to a healthy and stable future.

We look forward to sharing more details, and ways that you can support, as this project continues to take shape. This will include opportunities to “sponsor a room” where $1000 will provide bedding, storage solutions, desk, chair, lamp and other decor - for one room, one woman.
